Hi everyone, I’m Emily Jackson, and today I’m sharing some tips on the gear I always have with me when I’m out on my City Cruiser SLC cargo e-bike. Whether I’m heading downtown, picking up groceries, or taking the kids on an adventure, I keep a few essentials on hand to make my ride as smooth as possible. While you don’t need a ton of gear to enjoy a good ride, there are a few key items I’ve found incredibly helpful.

Helmet – The Must-Have for Cargo E-bike

First things first: I always keep my helmet in the basket of my cargo e-bike. This way, I’m never scrambling to find it before heading out.

bike tips wear a helmet

Wearing a helmet is essential for any bike ride, and it’s the single most crucial piece of safety equipment you’ll need. So, always have one on hand—it’s a non-negotiable for me!

Bike Lock – Peace of Mind

Since I’m often running errands or stopping at a café while riding, I always keep a bike lock with me.

e bike tips bring a bike lock

It gives me peace of mind to leave my bike outside while I shop or grab a coffee. I can relax and enjoy myself knowing my cargo e-bike is securely locked and ready when I’m done.

Spare Tube and Pump – Be Prepared

Another important item I carry is a spare tube and a small pump. You never know when you might get a flat tire, and having these handy makes all the difference.

bike tip bring a spare tube

While I could always call for help, especially with two kids on the back of the e-bike, I prefer being self-sufficient and ready for any situation.

Closed-Toe Shoes – Safety First

When it comes to safety, I try and always make sure I’m wearing closed-toe shoes. It’s a simple way to protect my feet, especially if I need to stop suddenly or in the rare event of an accident.

e bike tips

Proper footwear has saved me from more than a few scrapes, so I always recommend it for any ride. (I'm certainly guilty for hoping on in my flip flops but since having kids I try even more so to lead by example.)

Grocery Bags – Keep Things Tidy in Your Cargo E-bike

Even though the cargo e-bike has a built-in basket, I like to carry a few reusable grocery bags with me.

grocery bag

It keeps things from bouncing around too much, and it’s a little more organized when I’m picking up groceries or other items.

Optional Extras

Some people also like to wear glasses while riding to protect their eyes from debris kicked up by cars. I don’t always wear them, but they’re definitely a good idea if you’re riding in high-traffic areas.

A Quick Thank You!

Before I wrap up, I want to say a big thank you to Bosch eBike Systems for sponsoring some of our videos. Their e-bike systems have given me that extra boost I need for hauling groceries, exploring new areas, or taking the kids on fun adventures. I really appreciate the power and convenience that comes with using an eBike!

The beauty of riding a cargo e-bike is how simple it is to just hop on and go. As long as you’ve got your helmet and a few key items, you’re set for any adventure. What about you? What do you always bring along on your rides? Let me know in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter, read more articles, or share this article if you found this helpful!

Happy riding, and see you out there!

Hey everyone! I’m Emily Jackson, and today I want to walk you through the different types of e-bikes available. Whether you’re considering a cargo bike, mountain bike, city cruiser, hybrid, or gravel bike, there are plenty of options to suit your needs. The goal of this blog is to help you figure out which type of e-bike is the best fit for you and your adventures.

The Cargo Bike – My Personal Favorite

cargo ebike e-bike comparison

Let’s start with the cargo bike—my go-to for everyday use. I love it because I can take a lot of things with me, whether it’s groceries or the kids. Cargo bikes are designed to handle weight well, with a lower center of gravity that makes the ride stable, even when fully loaded. (This is is important for me as I tend to get excited while shopping and completely overload the bike.)

ebike cargo e-bike comparison

There are different styles of cargo e-bikes, like front loaders and rear loaders, each offering unique benefits in how they carry weight. I use a front loader, which helps keep the weight balanced in front of me, making it less wobbly even when fully packed.

One thing to keep in mind: cargo bikes are often longer than regular bikes. If you plan to transport them on a bike rack, you’ll need to check the bike’s dimensions and see if your rack can accommodate it. Shorter cargo e-bikes are available, but if you plan to use it for commuting or as your primary transportation, the extra length is worth the added stability.

Mountain E-Bikes – Perfect for More Fun on the Trails

Next up, mountain e-bikes. This is my husband Nick’s favorite type because it means he can get in more laps on the trails. The extra power lets him spend less time climbing and more time enjoying the downhill runs. When we ride together, having an e-bike levels the playing field for me, making it easier to keep up.

Plus, the ability to adjust the e-bike’s settings means we can both enjoy the ride at our own pace—whether one of us wants a tougher workout or just a fun, smooth downhill experience.

Hybrid E-Bikes – The Swiss Army Knife of E-Bikes

hybrid ebike e-bike comparison

If you’re looking for versatility, a hybrid e-bike might be your best bet. This is the Swiss Army knife of the e-bike world because it can handle a little bit of everything. Many hybrids come with front shocks, which make them suitable for light off-road adventures. At the same time, they usually have a rear rack, so you can carry bags and groceries. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, or taking a leisurely ride, the hybrid e-bike is a great all-around option.

Gravel E-Bikes – Lightweight and Built for Adventure

e-bike comparison. gravel ebike

Gravel e-bikes are a great choice if you want something lightweight and built for speed, but that can also handle off-road conditions. These bikes often have a carbon fiber frame, which makes them lighter and more efficient.

gravel ebike e-bike comparison

The drop-down handlebars give you a more aerodynamic position, similar to a road bike. Unlike road bikes, though, gravel bikes have tires with more tread, so you can take them off-road without losing grip or stability.

Big Thanks to Bosch E-Bike Systems

Before I wrap up, I want to give a huge thank you to Bosch eBike Systems for sponsoring some of our videos at Great Family Adventure. Their e-bikes have made my everyday adventures—whether grocery runs, kid outings, or town explorations—so much easier and more enjoyable. The extra boost they provide has really helped take my rides to the next level.

Hi, everyone! I’m Emily Jackson, and today I’m excited to compare two popular styles of bikes: the cargo e-bike and the classic city cruiser. Whether you’re trying to decide which bike is best for your daily errands, family adventures, or simply getting around town, I’m here to break down the pros and cons of each option.

Weight and Transportability

One of the first things you’ll notice when comparing these two bikes is the difference in weight. The city cruiser is definitely lighter, making it much easier to lift on and off racks, transport by car, or store at home. If you need to drive somewhere before biking, the city cruiser’s lighter weight makes it a more convenient option.

trek city cruiser

On the other hand, the cargo e-bike is heavier, which makes it trickier to transport. But here’s the thing—because it’s an e-bike, I’m much more likely to ride it directly from my house instead of needing to drive it anywhere. So, while transporting it can be more challenging, if you plan to ride straight from home, that extra weight won’t be much of an issue. However, if you’re frequently transporting your bike, the lighter city cruiser might be the better fit.

city cruiser vs cargo ebike

Features and Stability

When it comes to features, the classic city cruiser is simple but effective. It has a few gears, making it easier to tackle hills, but it’s not designed to carry heavy loads. If you’re running quick errands with just a backpack or small pouch, the city cruiser works well. But I found it less stable when I loaded it up with more weight, such as groceries.

cargo ebike

In contrast, the cargo e-bike is designed for hauling. It’s longer, with wider tires, which makes it much more stable—especially when I’m carrying a lot of stuff. Whether I’m grocery shopping, taking the kids out, or loading up for a long adventure, I feel more comfortable on the cargo e-bike. Its wider platform and extra stability mean I can ride with confidence, even in busy or chaotic city environments.

cargo ebike vs city cruiser

Power and Range

One of the key differences between these bikes is the power and range that comes with an e-bike. While the city cruiser gives you more of a workout, the cargo e-bike’s motor provides that extra boost, which can make all the difference on longer rides or when carrying heavy loads. With the cargo e-bike, I felt bolder in my decision to go further and explore new areas, knowing that I had the power to handle it.

power of ebike motor

Even if I ended up with more groceries or tired kids, I had the confidence that the cargo e-bike could handle the extra weight. That added power also means you can travel faster, making it easier to cover more ground in less time.

Cost Considerations

Price is another factor to think about. City cruisers tend to be more affordable, with fewer features and lower price points. If you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly bike for shorter rides or quick trips around town, a city cruiser is a great option.

power ebike cargo bike

Cargo e-bikes, on the other hand, are more expensive, but with good reason. You’re paying for the additional power, stability, and versatility. If you want a bike that can handle longer trips, heavier loads, and a variety of tasks, the cargo e-bike is worth the investment.

Final Thoughts: Which Bike Should You Choose?

I enjoy riding both bikes, but if I had to choose just one, I’d go with the cargo e-bike. The extra power lets me go further and carry more, while the added stability makes me feel more confident when I’ve got the kids or a full load of groceries in tow. It’s the perfect choice for my lifestyle, where I’m often balancing family activities, errands, and adventures.

Trek city cruiser

That said, the city cruiser is an excellent option if you’re concerned about weight and frequently need to transport your bike by car. If you don’t need the extra hauling capabilities of a cargo bike and just want something light, easy, and efficient, the city cruiser is the way to go.

cargo ebike

Ultimately, the right bike depends on your needs. Do you want something that can carry everything from groceries to kids, or are you looking for something lighter and simpler? Either way, both e-bikes and city cruisers are great in their own ways—you just need to decide which one fits your lifestyle best!

When it comes to fueling my kids for adventure, I often want to cook these elaborate meals. But when we’re out busy doing activities like hiking and biking, finding the time to prep can be really challenging. Its sometimes hard to find the right healthy snacks for kids.

When it comes to fueling my kids before and during a big hike or paddle, there are a few things I like to focus on. And today I’m going to share those things with you, along with some helpful tips. So you can power not just your kids, but your entire family to make outdoor adventuring even more enjoyable.

Healthy Snacks for Kids starts with all food groups.
Healthy Snacks for Kids starts with all food groups.

Think About Healthy Snacks for Kids in the Right Food Groups

The very first thing I like to think about is food groups. And whether my kids are getting enough fruits, vegetables, meat, and carbohydrates.

Whenever we are heading off on an outdoor adventure that requires energy or endurance, I always like to make sure that my kids have snacks—especially fruit—on hand to give them quick bursts of energy.

Over the years, we’ve found that when our kids hit a low, it’s really helpful to have an apple, an orange, or just something with a high sugar content to perk them up and give their bodies the energy they need to keep on pushing.

Having these easy-to-eat snacks on hand has overall made a huge difference to our adventures. And that’s mainly because they allow our kids to hike, bike, or paddle a little further.

Having breaks for food is key to keeping kids going.
Having breaks for food is key to keeping kids going.

Timing is Everything

Another tip that can really change the game when fueling kids for adventure is timing. And by timing, I mean not waiting until your kids say they’re hungry.

Kids often won’t say they’re hungry until their energy levels are already dropping. So, if i’ve noticed my kids have already been active for an hour or two, then I'll go ahead and stop what we’re doing for a snack break.

If I wait until the point where my children are saying that they’re hungry, then it usually means I’m hungry, tired, and I want to stop.

Reigning it in a bit earlier and giving them the boost they don’t even know they need means we can continue on with our adventure. And we don’t need to wait longer periods of time for them to re-energize.

A good night's sleep is easily the most important way to rebuild energy for the next adventure.
A good night's sleep is easily the most important way to rebuild energy for the next adventure.

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Having a good night’s sleep is really important in terms of getting out and adventuring. And to help this, I highly recommend eating a little earlier.

Eating earlier means your kids are able to fully digest what they’ve eaten, which, in turn, leads to a better night’s sleep.

I know it can be hard to plan meal times when out adventuring. But just thinking about nearby restaurants or whether you can stop for a picnic en route before heading back to your campsite can ultimately give your kids the best chance at sleeping soundly through the night.

I have my Lifestraw for quick sips all day to keep us all hydrated.
I have my Lifestraw for quick sips all day to keep us all hydrated.

Drink Plenty of Water

I can’t emphasize enough the importance of water in regards to fueling your kids for adventure. Like food, if you wait for your kids to tell you they’re thirsty, they’re already at the point of dehydration. So, one thing we found that helped us get our kids to drink more water is having them carry their own water bladders.

There are various brands out there that make water bladders that kids can carry. And just by having a straw and easy access to water, your kids can constantly rehydrate throughout your adventure.

Even from when my daughter was young, we’ve attached a bladder to her backpack. So, instead of having to stop and get a water bottle out every time she was thirsty, she could just flip her straw and take a sip.

Having an impromptu hotdog roast has been a favorite.
Having an impromptu hotdog roast has been a favorite.

Make Food Fun

And my last tip is to make food fun. When you’re out adventuring with your kids, they’re already doing a ton of new things. So standard food just isn’t going to excite them.

I always like to take along a treat like a bar or a brownie, something that’s special and fun. Through our own adventures, I’ve learned to never underestimate the joy that food can bring to your family. And that's especially true when you’re out burning physical energy.

For me, I absolutely love eating biscuits. And when I’m out on a hike, there really is nothing that makes me happier than enjoying a special biscuit.

So think about a food that will really excite your kids and just watch their mood change in an instant.

Going family camping brings a whole lot of new experiences for kids. So, taking along some camping comfort must-haves can bring with them a level of normalcy.

Family camping can become really overwhelming because your routine and everything you’re doing is completely different. So, when I take my family on camping trips, I like to take a few things with us to help us feel comfortable and at ease with the transition.

Today, I’m going to share with you three of my favorite personal touches to bring on a camping trip that helps both me and my kids feel comfortable in the great outdoors.

Camping must-haves lists always needs to consider the possibility of Parker getting dirty, wet or both.
Family camping must-haves lists always needs to consider the possibility of Parker getting dirty, wet or both.

Pack Extra Socks and Underwear

Something I always pack when we go camping is extra clean socks and underwear. It’s funny how when you feel grimy and gritty from camping for five days, a clean pair of socks and underwear can make all the difference.

If you’re planning on going camping for even just a day or two, then I highly recommend bringing socks and underwear because you’re going to get dirty and you’re going to get gritty.

For me, I know that when I climb into the sleeping bag, and I'm putting on a clean pair of socks, it feels great. So clean socks and underwear are definitely high on my priority list.

Comfort on a camping trip can be accomplished by bring something familiar from home. Like a Barbie pillow.

Bring Something Personal

Another thing that I think is crucial to help make camping comfortable for kids, especially, is to bring a personal touch on your camping trips. For example, that could be a toy that your little ones are used to playing with or holding.

My daughter loves to bring one of her Barbies. So, if she’s having a meltdown or if she’s tired, there is something she can engage with that is normal and part of her everyday routine.

Think about something your kids will latch onto and take it along with you. Often, I pack them, and they don’t even look at them. But it’s nice to know that if there are meltdowns, there is something to distract them and comfort them.

If you notice the kid's faces, you KNOW that Nick is in need of this coffee...

Don’t Skimp On Your Morning Tea or Coffee

Camping comfort must haves number three for me is continuing to make my tea or coffee the same way I usually do. Don’t skimp out!

I’ve tried the whole cowboy coffee method, and I didn’t appreciate it or even really like it. So, for me, when I wake up, and I’m kicking off my day, I find it's nice to sit down with my husband and actually enjoy the coffee we’re drinking.

I personally like to add a splash of maple syrup and oat milk to my Earl Grey tea. So, no matter where I’m camping and no matter how long for, I try to bring lots of packets of maple syrup and a carton of oat milk so I can enjoy my tea just the way I like it.

Moments like these are far more enjoyable if everyone is happy.

Family Camping Must Haves

So, those are my three things for adding personal touches to your camping trip. These three things—clean socks and underwear, a toy for the kids, and your usual morning tea or coffee—can make all the difference and really do shift the whole trip around.

Family Vacation https://Hazeadventure.com/family-vacation/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=family-vacation https://Hazeadventure.com/family-vacation/#respond Sat, 30 Sep 2023 08:00:00 +0000 https://Hazeadventure.com/?p=9805 Emily and Nick have long decided where to go for a family vacation by way of a simple process. Emily is here to share that with you!

Deciding where to go on vacation can be difficult. But there are a few questions you can ask yourself to help determine the perfect destination.

My husband and I have been taking our kids on vacation since they were newborns. So, we’ve come up with some great strategies on how to plan and execute the ultimate family getaway.

family vacation
Choosing where to go for a family vacation involves deciding on something you can all do together. Set a cool new goal, like indoor climbing for the first time together!

Highlight Your Goals

One of the first things to think about is your goals. Is the goal of your vacation to enjoy time off with your family? Is it to learn a new skill or a new sport? Or is it to try something different and explore an area you’re unfamiliar with?

If your family, for example, wants to learn how to ski, spend some time researching the best ski mountains for families and base your vacation around that. Another example could be if you were looking to learn how to fly fish or kayak, then research the best regions for these activities and build your itinerary from there.

Often, by looking into a specific sport or activity, you can come across some unique locations that would have never crossed your mind.

Our family vacation are full of adventures.
Our family vacations usually include at least one river, but if we can find an epic look out… we're there!

What Are You Looking Forward To?

Another thing to consider is what you’re looking forward to. Is there some type of scenery? Is there a famous waterfall? Or a museum, hiking trail, or monument? Anything that sparks an interest and that you’d like to know more about can be a great base for planning a vacation.

I’m a professional kayaker, so often rivers dictate where we go on family vacations. And some of my favorite family memories are when we’ve gone to areas that don’t have much else going on besides a river running through it. At the end of the day, anywhere you decide to go can become an unforgettable getaway for you and your kids—so don’t overthink things too much!

Parker was a bit young to enjoy this day of skiing on our winter family vacation.

Take Into Consideration Age Groups

When you’re deciding where to go on vacation, another thing to consider is the age groups of the kids who are tagging along.

I went on a ski trip with my children to Monarch Mountain in Colorado. And my daughter, Parker, was only two at the time. We did have a great family vacation. But I really thought about how much better the vacation would have been if she was a little bit older.

So, when you’re planning your vacations, instead of just looking at the best family-friendly areas, really think about the ages of your kids and what you’re hoping to get out of it. If the vacation is something you think may be better suited to older children, then wait a few years so you and your kids can actually enjoy it to its fullest.

Hit this place off peak season and you have the place to your selves for a fun family vacation.
Empty boardwalks at Ocean City!!?? Yes please. Hit this and any place just off peak season and you have the place to your selves and discounts!

Plan a Budget

The last point for choosing your family vacation is to plan a budget. When it comes to choosing a location, a budget can be a big factor in deciding where, when, and how you’re going to get there.

There might be somewhere that you really want to visit. But it's really expensive, or flight tickets or car rental are out of your price range. So what we like to do in this instance is look at the different times of the year. By making use of seasonal deals, you can visit the vacation spot later on in the year for far cheaper than peak season.

Adult Electric Bike vs Cars https://Hazeadventure.com/adult-electric-bike-vs-cars/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=adult-electric-bike-vs-cars https://Hazeadventure.com/adult-electric-bike-vs-cars/#respond Fri, 15 Sep 2023 06:35:00 +0000 https://Hazeadventure.com/?p=9557 Emily Jackson discusses the benefits of biking vs driving everywhere. Check out her thoughts on how it helps her life in a positive way.

The benefits of taking an adult electric bike instead of a car are endless. And the list really could go on forever. I can guarantee that with just one look at all the different benefits of biking, you’ll be persuaded to make the switch.

From benefiting the environment and your physical health to improving your mental health and just getting outside with your kids, here are some of my favorite reasons for choosing a bike over hopping in the car.

Parker definitely sees the benefits of biking when she gets the comfy seat behind dad!

You Notice Things You’ve Never Seen Before

One of the first reasons why I love riding my electric bike is that when I use my ebike, I notice things that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise if I were driving in the car. Whether it’s a bird, some flowers, or even different shops, having my bike allows me to slow everything down and pay attention to my surroundings.

We are always off on a bike route where ever we go.
We are always using our electric bikes on a bike route where ever we visit.

My eBike Helps Me Engage With the Kids

The second reason I like choosing my electric bike over the car is because it helps me engage with the kids. When we tell the kids, “We’re getting in the car,” they just say, “Okay.” But when we tell them we’re going for a bike ride, they get really excited.

eBiking allows me to participate with the kids biking. So, as a parent, I’ve recognized that the more I engage my children and involve them in activities, the better their moods. Increasing our time outdoors has brought our family closer together. So, my kids truly love getting outside on their bikes.

Whether its a confidence building mountain bike ride or a cruise with the family over distance, my confidence takes a leap.

Benefits of eBiking: Feeling Good About Myself

My third and final reason for getting out on a ebike versus the car is because ebiking makes me feel good about myself. There’s something truly empowering about choosing to do the inconvenient thing.

So, although taking your ebike can often be inconvenient, it is easier to get a parking spot. And it does help maintain your physical health. Instead of thinking how much easier and quicker it would be to drive, just think about the future and realize that biking will ultimately benefit your health and mental well-being.

Here's some advice from them on how you too can try something new.

People often ask me, what are your favorite activities to do with your family? And honestly, it’s all of them! I absolutely love being a totally newbie at a sport. And I especially love being a newbie at something with my children.

For me, any activity that gets us outside is something I'm really passionate about because I love exploring the outdoors and trying new things with my kids.

Trying new activities as a family included one of my favorites, fishing!

Getting Out There

There are so many amazing activities that you can do outside with your family. You can ride bikes, hike, run, swim, SUP, kayak, fish, or even skateboard. I mean, there are just so many sports out there and so many activities that you can try.

I don't SUP all the time, but for some locations, its the best way to experience it.

I think it’s really important to try them all as there might be something you feel more equipped to try. And there may be sports that you have no interest in trying. But at the same time, trying something new with your kids can be a great bonding experience. And to me, anything that gets the kids outside and motivated to get outside is a win in my books.

Parker is the youngest, so almost everything in the past two years has been "new".

Try A New Activity

To help you get outside, definitely consider trying some new activities. If you’re nervous about getting outside and trying new activities with your kids, look for a professional. You can look up different schools or guided tours in your area. But you can also reach out to some friends.

Tucker grew up amongst the top whitewater kayakers in the world, but also loved his first touring kayak session.

If you have a friend, for example, who hikes a nearby trail that you haven't been to, reach out and ask them if they can take you. Or if you have a friend that knows a mountain bike trail, or a friend that goes stand up paddle boarding, they may be more than happy to head out on the adventure with you. Any activity that gets your family outside together is great one.

Rafting was a good way to introduce the family to whitewater in a safe environment.

Sustainable Kids Clothing Options https://Hazeadventure.com/sustainable-kids-clothing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=sustainable-kids-clothing https://Hazeadventure.com/sustainable-kids-clothing/#respond Fri, 18 Aug 2023 12:29:17 +0000 https://Hazeadventure.com/?p=9066 Emily Jackson writes about sustainable kids clothing and the do's and don'ts of choosing active lifestyle clothing for her children.

Sustainable kids' clothing is something all parents need to think about. And today, I’m going to talk to you about buying clothing for your children in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Think About Where You’re Spending Your Money

The first thing to think about when buying kids’ clothing is where you’re actually spending your money. For us as a family, for example, we were really excited when Cotopaxi came out with a kids' line.

Sustainable kids clothing is a constant in our lives, that typically means Cotopaxi!

Cotopaxi is a company that I know is making charitable donations to different organizations in order to preserve some of the beautiful places that we like to visit. For this reason—as well as their sustainable practices—I know that the clothing I buy for my kids is making a lesser impact on the environment.

Parker's new jacket is a bit long for her, but it gives us at least a full season... they grow SO fast!

Size Up in Kids’ Clothing

Another thing I like to do when I purchase new clothing for my kids is to size up. I understand that clothing needs to fit kids, especially when you’re out on adventures. But my daughter, for example, can wear a sweatshirt or a jacket that's a little bigger. I just roll up her sleeves, and that way, I know it's going to last her an entire season. Sometimes I’ll even size up two sizes so that way we get two winters out of them.

This kid! Tucker is HARD on his clothes so sustainable kids clothing still needs to be durable.

Choose Companies that are Durable

Another tip is to choose companies that are durable. Often we make decisions to buy things, but that product actually won’t last us more than a few months. One of my son’s biggest problems is the knees wearing out on his pants. So when I’m shopping for clothing for him, I’m looking at brands that I know are going to work for wear and tear.

Look for clothes that are durable, comfortable and ones that you’ll be able to pass down to younger siblings or cousins.

Parker, like some girls her age, always tend towards their 'favorites'.

How Often Will Your Kids’ Wear Them?

Something else to think about is how often will your kids actually wear the item of clothing. Think about the design of the clothing item and how comfortable it will be when wearing it. You may buy something that’s more sustainable and environmentally friendly. But if your kids aren’t actually going to wear it, then it ultimately isn’t the right choice.

At the end of the day, the best clothes to buy are the ones you know your kids are going to wear. And remember that the clothing doesn’t even have to be new. Patagonia, for instance, has done a really good job of paving the way for people to reduce, reuse, and repair their clothes. And that’s why I love these outdoor clothing companies. Not only do they produce durable clothing items. But they are showcasing that you can be sustainable and smart about purchasing decisions when it comes to outdoor kids' adventure clothing.
